Participation of the Geographic Society of Uzbekistan in the 25th Tashkent International Tourism Fair "Tourism on the Silk Road", held on November 13-15, 2019 in Tashkent

The Geographic Society of Uzbekistan took part for the first time in the 25th Tashkent International Tourism Fair "Tourism on the Silk Road", organized by the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the development of tourism on November 13-15, 2019 in Tashkent.

The fair presented the main activities of the Geographic Society of Uzbekistan, its work on the development of tourism in Uzbekistan, historical and cultural sites located on the territory of the republic, work on ecotourism.

At this international event, which was held in the pavilions of the Uzexpocentre National Exhibition Company, the Society provided information on archaeological and geographical expeditions “Ancient Fergana: “Heavenly Horses”, “Iron Gates”, “Old Khovos: “Abode of the Goddess”, “Historical and cultural objects in Kyzyl Kum" and explanatory work on their participation was carried out.

During the anniversary exhibition, the Society distributed more than 1,500 booklets and flyers about the historical and cultural sites of the Republic of Uzbekistan, archaeological and geographical expeditions and the activities of the Society.
