The UTS Secretary General received the Secretary General of the Geographical Council of Turkic States 29.07.2023 23:40

The Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev received the Chairman of the Geographical Council of Turkic States Mr. Oybek Norinbaev at the Headquarters of the OTS in Istanbul.

At the meeting, the parties discussed the items on the common agenda and exchanged views on planned joint activities for the upcoming period.

The Geographical Council of Turkic States, comprised of geographical societies of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan and Hungary was established on 8 May 2023 in Tashkent.

The Council aims to serve as an important platform to deepen people-to-people contacts, exchange knowledge and experiences in the fields of science, education, and innovations, and foster tourism cooperation by promoting the rich natural and cultural heritage of Turkic geography.
