At the thirty-third plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Law "On Amendments and Additions to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the Names of Geographical Objects" was approved, the press service of the Senate reported.

It was especially noted that this Law was developed taking into account the proposals and opinions of the public.

The law consists of 4 articles and amendments are made to 6 articles of the Law "On the Names of Geographical Objects".

As a result of the adoption of the Law in order to perpetuate the memory of persons who left a deep mark on the history of Uzbekistan, including public and state figures, various problems that arise when assigning their names to geographical objects are eliminated.
