On March 17, 2022, the Director of Institut für die Welt der Türken (Germany), Professor Necati Demir, made an official visit to the Geographic Society of Uzbekistan to present the award of Institut für die Welt der Türken.

The work carried out under the current leadership of the Geographic Society of Uzbekistan has been recognized as effective and fruitful. As a sign of this, Institut für die Welt der Türken presented an award to the Chairman of the Society, Oybek Norinbayev, for his contribution to expanding the cultural heritage and scientific potential of our countries.

At the same time, on the same day in Tashkent, the Chairman of the Geographic Society of Uzbekistan Oybek Norinbayev met with Turkish representatives, in particular, with the Director of Institut für die Welt der Türken Prof. Dr. Necati Demir, the mayor of the city of Niksar Özdilek Özcan and Geological Engineer Hüseyin Şahin, during which they discussed issues of implementation of joint programs and projects in the field of geography, science, research, education and other areas of bilateral cooperation.
