On January 14, 2022, a meeting was held in Tashkent between the Chairman of the Geographic Society of Uzbekistan Oybek Norinbayev and the Editor-in-Chief of the Russian Federal information and political Journal “Persona Strany” Elizaveta Abramova.

During the meeting, the state and prospects for further development of cooperation in the field of geography, mass media, journalism, education, science, innovation, technology and other areas were discussed.

Within the framework of this meeting, an agreement was also reached on the coverage in the media of Russia and Uzbekistan of information and materials on scientific research in the field of geography, the exchange of experience and information, the development of scientific ties and the work carried out by the Geographic Society of Uzbekistan.

As a result of the meeting between the Geographic Society of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federal information and political journal “Persona Strany”, a memorandum of cooperation was signed to provide a basis for further joint work and cooperation in the above areas, including promoting the development of journalistic, educational, research and innovation activities of the two countries.

As a result of the meeting, further steps were outlined for practical interaction within the framework of the considered areas of cooperation.
