Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur

This year our country celebrates the 540th anniversary of the great poet and scientist, famous statesman Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur.
Babur is a great representative of Uzbek classical literature, poet, historian, geographer, statesman, talented commander, founder of the Baburid dynasty.
Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur was born on February 14, 1483 in Andijan, in the family of Umar Sheikh Mirza, the ruler of Fergana.
Babur as a great king, poet, theoretician, literary critic, linguist, art historian, ethnographer, and animal and plant scientist was the owner of multifaceted activity and creativity.
Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur was a writer, poet, scientist, who occupied a special place in the culture, literature and poetry of the Middle Ages of the East, as well as a great statesman and military leader.
With a broad outlook and excellent intelligence, Babur founded the Baburid dynasty in India. The Baburids ruled in India for 332 years.
Babur did many public good deeds in India and had a positive impact on the development of the country. In particular, he contributed to the development of India, paying great attention to the development of science, literature, architecture, urban planning, agriculture, horticulture and other fields.
Babur, with his well-known works, occupies a worthy place in the history of the spiritual culture of our people as a historian, lyric poet and scientist who contributed to the solution of social problems.
The total volume of Babur's poems is more than 400. Of these, 119 ghazals, 231 rubais. Babur also created works in such genres as tuyuk, kita and other manuscripts.
Babur began his creative activity on the wonderful work "Baburname", which glorified his name, in 1518-19. Only one of his works "Baburname" testifies to his interest in more than twenty areas. This is a great work that embodies the geography, nature, social status, history, ethnography of Central Asia, Afghanistan and India and has retained its significance to this day.
When writing the work, Babur masterfully uses various artistic methods and linguistic means. He describes the nature of each region, topography, climate, flora, population, customs of peoples and tribes as a scientist, writer, poet, geographer, naturalist, ethnographer, linguist and art historian.
Babur describes in detail the major cities of Central Asia, Khorasan, Iran, Afghanistan and India in his "Baburname". His information about Fergana, Andijan, Samarkand, Bukhara, Kabul, Ghazni, Balkh, Badakhshan, Delhi, Lahore and other cities and regions is invaluable, since the author gives an idea of the geographical position of these cities, the trade and economic role of that time.
Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur is the owner of encyclopedic scientific knowledge, who made important research for the development of the science of toponymy. His work "Baburname" is rich in geographical terms used by the peoples of Central Asia, and the explanations given to them.
The Baburid dynasty, which ruled in India for 332 years, left its rich heritage in all spheres of the country's life. As you know, Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur and his descendants left behind majestic mausoleums, palaces, fortresses and cities in India.
