Russian Geographical Society

In its activities, the Geographic Society of Uzbekistan pays great attention to the development of scientific and practical cooperation with geographers of foreign countries. At the same time, the closest and multilateral relations have been established with the geographers of the Russian Federation. In October 2015, in Moscow, within the framework of the International Festival of the Russian Geographical Society, dedicated to its 170th anniversary, S.K.Shoigu - President of the Russian Geographical Society, and A.Saliev - Chairman of the Geographic Society of Uzbekistan, signed a cooperation agreement.

Within the framework of cooperation between the Geographic Society of Uzbekistan and the Russian Geographical Society, publications are regularly exchanged: Russian geographers publish the results of their research in the journal “Proceedings of the Geographic Society of Uzbekistan”, in collections of materials of international and republican conferences on geography held in Uzbekistan, Uzbek geographers turn, publish their work in Russian scientific journals.​​​​​​​
