Oybek Norinbaev, Doctor of Philosophy in Economics, was unanimously elected Chairman of the Geographical Society of Uzbekistan.

Oybek Norinbayev in 2018-2021 served as Deputy Minister of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, before that he worked in a number of commercial banks of the republic, as Deputy Chairman of Qishloq Qurilish Bank and Asaka Bank, as well as in various management positions of the National Bank of Uzbekistan.

The Geographic Society of Uzbekistan has more than 120 years of history, performs the main tasks of organizing and coordinating geographical research, publishing scientific works of geographers and advancing geographical knowledge, organizing a number of international scientific and practical conferences in cooperation with higher educational institutions.

Today, the Geographic Society of Uzbekistan is carrying out appropriate work to participate in events of a national and international scale in order to implement large research and popular science projects.
