A significant milestone in the creative collaboration of the Geographical Society of Uzbekistan and the Russian Geographical Society was the expedition of the Penza regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society “Modern Ethnoworld” in October 2018, the purpose of which was to study the life and culture of the Russian and Russian-speaking population of Uzbekistan. Representatives of the Geographical Society of Uzbekistan took a direct part in the work of the expedition in the study of target objects in Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara.
The participants of the Russian expedition were given scientific reference materials relating to the dynamics and territorial structure of the Russian and Russian-speaking population of Uzbekistan, regional differences in the distribution 84 of the Russian language and culture in the republic.
