Competition for the best photos "Discover your homeland!"

In order to widely promote the rich history, shrines, little-known historical monuments and cultural sites of Uzbekistan, as well as to stimulate the formation of new and colorful tourist routes, from August 26 to September 15, 2020, the State Committee for Tourism Development, together with the Geographic Society of Uzbekistan, organized a competition for the selection photographic materials on the topic "Discover your homeland!".

 

517 photographs were submitted for participation in the competition, of which the best photographs were selected by the expert commission:

1. "Ayaz Kala" (Karakalpakstan);

2. "In the mountains of Zaamin" (Jizzakh region);

3. "Emerald Lake" (Namangan region);

4. "Pass Takhtakoracha" (Samarkand region);

5. "The top of Khoja Gur-gur ota in the Boysun mountains" (Surkhandarya region);

6. "Nanay" (Tashkent region);

7. "Gilon village" (Kashkadarya region).

 

The best works were also identified in the following nominations::

1. Best landscape photo - "The Tale of the Bird's Language" ("Lison ut Tayir");

2. The best photo with a historical monument - "The Mausoleum of Amir Temur in winter";

3. The best photo of the shrine - "Grave of Qasim Sheikh";

4. Best Panoramic Photo - Velvet Hills in Spring.

 

The awards ceremony took place on October 30, 2020.
