On August 25, 2022, the next congress of the Geographic Society of Uzbekistan was held.

The congress was attended by 107 members of the Geographic Society of Uzbekistan - deputy chairmen, professors and doctoral students.

The following issues were considered at the meeting of the congress:

1. Hearing a report on the activities of the Geographic Society of Uzbekistan for 2020-2022 and identifying priorities for the future;

2. Approval of a new version of the Charter, a new logo and the composition of the Board of Trustees of the Geographic Society of Uzbekistan;

3. Introduction of the Order of the Geographic Society of Uzbekistan named after Abu Rayhan Biruni and the medal named after Hamidulla Khasanov, approval of their content and procedure for awarding;

4. Approval of co-chairs of the Geographic Society of Uzbekistan, responsible persons in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Tashkent city and regions.

At the congress, the above issues were put to the vote and unanimously approved by the delegates. Appropriate decisions were made on the issues discussed.
